how to stop aggressive female indian ringneck
hi, there. i have 2 indian ringnecks. one is male, who i have had since he was a baby, about 2 years ago. about a year ago, i heard of a female indian ringneck looking for a home. she had landed in someones garden and was attacked by a dog so had lost the front curved part of her beak and the toes on 1 leg. She is extremely antisocial but i took her in the hope my male bird would have a companion during the day while i'm at work. i have noticed over the weekend that she seems to stalk my male bird and seems to want to bite him whenever she can, esp when he is eating. He seems afraid of her and is always running away.
what do i do about her behaviour. Both birds are free to walk around the house and both have untrimmed wings.
Also, will my male bird accept a female bird as a mate?
He is extremely attached to me and acts out his courting ritual with me?
i feel really distressed at leaving him alone with her
