Bella...I'll miss you so much
I had just gone for a swim at the local pool and decided to go for a walk at a nearby park. I had just started when I saw a baby bird. Upon closer inspection I saw that all the feathers around her head were missing so I came to the conclusion that she had been kicked out of the nest by her older siblings as she could not fly, so I took her home. I had a old guinea pig cage so I put her in there and named her Bella which stands for beautiful. For 5 days when I came home after school Bella would have gotten out of the cage and would be waiting for me inside my room. On the sixth day i heard no welcoming calls when I walked inside the house. but I wasn't worried. Maybe she is asleep I thought. I sang a little song and took my time as I got the seed mix ready as she could not eat solid seeds yet. As I bounced up the stairs I said in a singsong voice "Bella wakey wakey it's time to eaaaat.." When I opened the door I saw Bella's lifeless body at the bottom of the cage.
That was 3 years ago. Now I have bought a little male normal grey cockatiel. He can never replace the hole Bella left in my heart when she died but sometimes he comes pretty darn close.
