life is a bitch even for birds.

i contemplated shall i tell u my story or not it is so sad!!
I live in Thailand and about 10 months ago bought 4 budgies from different parts of Thailand so as to create thoroughbred birds. All went well they pair off and the two yellow ones produced 3 lovely babes and the blue and grey one 4 handsome birds. 3 black and grey and one blue and white. this is not for the faint hearted. Bluey the name of the blue and white budgies escaped and was killed by a cat so sad he was by far my favourite. anyway life went on the other birds grew and were trf. to another cage to await growing a later mating the two families. soon the yellow pair were laying eggs again. and so were the other pair. i was in the kitchen and i heard screams fro the bird cage. i ran and there it was (george) blue and white was being strangled by a snake try i as could o could not get him released and he dropped dead to the floor. now eye (the grey mother) had lost and son and her husband and had already laid six eggs of which one had been taken by the snake. naturally she would not go into the nest again so she lost all the remaining eggs. each of which contained young we later discovered she would not return to keep them alive. her three elder sons now thriving in their own cage were then released by some imbecile child living next door. However all was not lost one returned and now is doing very well and i have put a lock and key on the cage door. So there we have one of the saddest stories i know. Son lost to cat husband strangled by snake and two sons disappear what can happen to this poor girl next. I have put her with a new budgie Fred the son of the other two but he is only 6 months old not ready fo L O V E yet yes and the yellow pair have just produced 4 more beautiful chick. oh i forgot to mention the last batch they had two yellow and one white absolutely beautiful. \
